LaShona joined our facilitation team in August 2024 as a seasoned educator with 24 years of experience in various roles, including teacher, assistant principal, principal, and technology director of a K-12 system. She holds a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and an MBA, which allow her to blend educational insights with strategic management skills.
LaShona has initiated and completed numerous successful projects in her extensive career, demonstrating her commitment to enhancing educational practices and environments. Her innovative initiatives have had a lasting impact, helping to improve educational outcomes and fostering a more supportive and effective learning atmosphere. After transitioning to the private sector, LaShona became a professional development coordinator for an ed-tech company, where she created and delivered content focused on managing student safety in digital spaces. She has presented at conferences across the United States, advocating for interactive and experience-based learning. Her work emphasizes practical, engaging, and relevant educational strategies that resonate with audiences.
As an adjunct professor at both ULL and SLCC, LaShona led coursework in Sales, Effective Communication, Leadership, Time Management and other soft skills imperative to collegiate success. Beyond her work in education technology, LaShona is also a Notary Instructor and service provider and a FINRA arbitrator. She has specialized training in conflict management and is a strong advocate for diversity and inclusion. Her passion lies in helping others grow both personally and professionally, consistently working towards empowering individuals to achieve their fullest potential.
