David Hayes has been facilitating courses for LANTEC since 2010; he is a professional speaker passionate about helping others grow. David is a certified Microsoft Office Specialist specializing in leveraging technology skills to increase productivity. David can relate to a wide range of groups regardless of their level of influence or corporate position and is often described as “professional”, “down-to-earth”, and “real” by his students. David’s deliveries are full of energy and passion, aimed at inspiring others to take action and bring about change. His professional experience includes serving as a Training Specialist for Indorama and Executive Director of Workforce Solutions at SOWELA Technical Community College in Lake Charles. Before those roles, David served the Louisiana Economic Development agency for seven years as a corporate trainer, project manager, and finally, regional manager.  

He is a 1992 alumnus of McNeese State University in Computer Science and holds the esteemed distinction of Certified John Maxwell Coach.  David has served LANTEC as lead instructor for Delta Downs’ IWTP grant. He lends his talents to software training and soft skills topics — from leadership skills to HR and sales skills to interpersonal communications techniques.
