Bernard joined our full-time instructional staff as a Senior Technical Trainer in 2011. In addition to leading classes, he designed and maintains LANTEC's intranet site. Previously, Bernard served as IT Manager, Training Manager, and Lead Technical Instructor for New Horizons Computer Learning Centers of Lafayette and Houston and as IT Manager for Global Technology Group/Datacom.
Bernard is one of the most technically diverse instructors at LANTEC. His 30+ years of network consulting and technical support for several local companies lends a relatable real-world practicality to LANTEC students beyond the supplied vendor curriculum.Ten years of increasingly influential responsibilities in the U.S. Navy's Nuclear Power program led to his selection for elite duty as one of seven technical instructors at Submarine Training Facility's Damage Control Trainer, a high-risk live flooding and firefighting course at Charleston, SC. Bernard’s past military service allows him a unique rapport within the armed services branches he teaches under the DoD 8570 initiative; from high-end Cyber Security certification preparation to Windows and Azure platforms, Bernard can even lend his expertise to our core Microsoft Office curriculum, specifically Access and Excel. A mixture of an engaging personality, technical expertise, and hands-on, real-world experience makes Bernard our most in-demand technical instructor nationwide.

"I was very pleased with the class. I went into it not being optimistic about my ability to learn and understand Cisco, but was pleasantly suprised! The
teacher and presentation were excellent!"
